The original home of Poughkeepsie Day School was Spaulding House, located on the corner of Hooker and Grand Avenues in the City of Poughkeepsie, near where Georgetown Square condominiums (across from the Seven/Eleven) now stand. PDS vacated Spaulding in the early 60's for a new, modern building constructed specifically for the school on the Vassar College campus. PDS remained at 39 New Hackensack Road until the1990's when the corporation first purchased Kenyon House (1995) and then the IBM Briefing Center (1997), renamed the Elizabeth C. Gilkeson Center, in honor of the school's founding directory, in 1999. Spaulding House burned to the ground not long after PDS left it. The "39" campus is now home to Vassar's security office.
