Located in the Town of Poughkeepsie, New York, the Poughkeepsie Day School campus comprises 35 acres of fields and woodlands and is situated on a hilltop with a long view of the Catskill Mountains. The facilities include historic Kenyon House, which was built in 1913 as Clarence Kenyon’s private retirement home “Cliffdale.” Kenyon House had been owned by IBM for fifty years when the Day School purchased it in 1995. The Mediterranean-style mansion provides an elegant yet comfortable setting for classes, meetings and various school-related activities. The seminar-style classrooms, many with fireplaces and original wood mouldings, promote small-group discussion and learning through dialogue. Kenyon House also houses a science laboratory, computer center, music and art rooms and administrative offices.

The campus also includes the Elizabeth C. Gilkeson Center, a renovated 40,000 square foot modern building; a new full-sized gymnasium; the state-of-the-art, 300-seat James Earl Jones Theater and athletic fields. Gilkeson Center, named for the school's founding director, opened its doors in September 1998, and houses all lower school, most middle and a few upper school classrooms, as well as drama, music, and art rooms, a science laboratory, a library and a mini computer center. Classrooms in both buildings have up-to-date computers with Internet access. There are also portable computer labs available in both Kenyon and Gilkeson.
