The PDS library serves as a physical and virtual information and instructional hub providing authoritative research resources, literacy support and guidance and multimedia and conference facilities. It provides online access facilitating anywhere, anytime learning.

Just as information and communication technologies have transformed the world of learning, they also have transformed the library. As knowledge is increasingly driven by innovative ideas and emerging technologies, our students must master the skills of the past and be ready to adapt, adopt, create and assess new approaches and new tools. The PDS vision for learning focuses on the skills--including digital and media literacy--essential for navigating and thriving in this changing environment.

 For younger students, the library is a comfortable place to hear stories and learn about the larger world. And it is where older students go for independent work and research. Children up to 6th grade have regularly scheduled library time when they are introduced to the rich world of children’s literature, including stories, folktales, books and their authors and illustrators. Students in grades 7-12 all own laptop computers, giving them access to library resources from anywhere with an Internet connection.

The extensive and evolving database collection of scholarly resources for students and faculty includes: JSTOR, Questia School, Global Researcher, ProQuest, CQ Supreme Court, Brainpops, and ABC-CLIO.
