Educating the Whole Child for the Whole World
Learning is for life. At PDS we nurture curious minds and creative thinkers who know how to ask questions and solve problems—individuals who can write and reason well, appreciate beauty, develop and express passions and live their lives as good and thoughtful citizens within a larger, increasingly global community.
The academic program is organized by divisions: lower school (pre-kindergarten–grade 5); middle school (grades 6–8); and high school (grades 9–12). Oversight of curriculum, faculty and students for each division is provided by division heads: Deborah McLean (lower school); George Swain (middle school) and Liz Vinogradov (high school).
