Get ready to rock 'n roll! We are excited to announce that this year's major fundraiser, Poughkeepsie Day School's Spring Fling: A Benefit for PDS, will be held Saturday, April 5, 2008 (5:30-11:00 p.m. at PDS). Organized as a dance party for adults, and featuring one of the area's top bands, The Big Smoothies, the event will include both live and silent auctions and an advance-sale as well as on-site raffles, fabulous CIA-inspired food and more! This fun-filled evening is our single most important fundraiser, the proceeds of which will benefit the school and enhance the educational program now and in the future. The Spring Fling Steering Committee encourages you to participate and to be as generous as possible in whatever ways you can! We need your support to make this fundraiser a great success! Items for the auction are solicited from businesses and neighbors by parents who have volunteered to canvas their communities. We also ask parents and teachers to donate objects and services of value and interest, from the whimsical to the practical to the luxurious! Paintings, photographs, antiques, crafts, jewelry, vacation homes, special meals and tickets to theater and sports events are only a few of the possible donations.
