Thanksgiving: Are you tired of the "Thank you" song from the PDS Musical, Life on Earth? Well too bad. Unless you're in the musical writing CS and you specifically worked on a killer song to replace it, you're out of luck, and you will sing it before this week is over. But take heart, because we're here to at least help you sing it on key. You can download the song here, and listen to it a few dozen times before tomorrow...

STRIKE!: The PDS Podcast writers have gone on strike, forcing us to consider running repeats. Stay tuned for updates.

Episode 17 Show Notes: Background music for the LS interviews was "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. Interstitial music for several segments came from the piece "4 O'clock Ghost", performed earlier this week by the 1-2s at LS assembly. The PDS Podcast theme music was performed by Mike Foley and Brian Flanagan, whose haunting critique of our web skills appears at the end of the show.

Halloween is coming by: This year's Halloween episode promises to be the most spectacular ever (yes, we know it's only the first). On Thursday, 10/26, we will be speaking with Jonathan Frost '05. Jonathan is studying philosophy and theater arts in New Paltz, and has been a professional illusionist since his days at PDS. He has been very busy this Halloween season, currently performing at Goatman's Hollow in Maryland and will be performing at La Ninnola Grand Café in New Paltz on Halloween Night.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Do you hate the sound of your own voice? Do computers frighten you? are you nervous about interviewing people over the phone? Do you have absolutely no free time left, ever? If so, you may be just who we're looking for!

PDS podcasters work during lunches, after school, or any time they need to procrastinate on more important work. We use free and open source tools, second-hand hardware, and a lot of "ums". We are looking for volunteers to be hosts (babble between pieces), editors (delete the ums), and correspondents (fumble awkwardly through interviews and place microphones around the stage surreptitiously).

The Site gets a facelift: Could these trendy Web 2.0 colors and graphics be a sign of life for the PDS podcast? True, there were only two (2) episodes in all of 06-07, but this was part of a grand design to generate pent-up demand for more episodes - which, rest assured, will be coming fast and furious in Septober so stay tuned!

12-5-06

Episode 13 Show Notes: Dock of the Bay, performed by Erica E. class of '15.
