PDS Poets Share Works at Muddy Cup

As a culminating project for the Poetry Central Study (CS), students in grades 7-11 recently presented their work at the Muddy Cup coffee house in Poughkeepsie. Congrats to poet Marc Jubert, grade 8, who won the Adriance Memorial Library Poetry Contest, and to sophomore Nory Kaplan-Kelly, who is among a select group of teenagers honored with prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Martin Puryear at PDS

Recently, PDS parent and renowned sculptor Martin Puryear visited with upper school students in the advanced portfolio course. He spoke about the genesis of his work and his recent exhibition
at the Museum of Modern Art. He also graciously took a look at student projects.
